Senior designer

Position: Senior Designer
Agency: Grid Branding
Location: Oslo, Norway
Deadline: 16/03/2026
Contract: Full-time
Level: Senior

Do you want to design brands that mean a lot to people?

A large part of Grid's core and heart lies within FMCG, groceries, food and beverages. We work with developing visual identities, brand portfolios, design systems and packaging design. We are now looking for a senior designer who shares our ambitions and passion for the field. We will give you responsibility for designing and developing brands that mean a lot to people, and we look forward to you helping to develop the professional level of the agency together with our colleagues and in close collaboration with our clients.

With insight and creativity, we create successful brands

We are ambitious on behalf of our clients. Our work is insight-driven, strategically anchored and creatively clear. We are committed to understanding the market, people, business and strategic issues before developing creative concepts and designs that actually work in reality.

A large part of Grid's core business lies within FMCG, groceries, food and beverages, and we work with complex brand portfolios, systems and packaging solutions on a large scale.

We are looking for someone with broad experience in FMCG

We now want to strengthen Grid with a senior designer who can dive straight into complex and demanding FMCG projects while helping to develop the agency's professional level together with other senior colleagues and managers.

You are a designer who thrives in the space between strategy and creative output, and who is able to translate complex issues into clear, strong and well-thought-out design solutions. You have solid experience in both brand and packaging design, and preferably also in identity and brand building across surfaces and channels.

This is what we think about you

  • You have broad and relevant experience as a designer, preferably 5–10 years or more from either an agency or the design department of a large brand/marketing organisation.
  • You have worked extensively with FMCG, groceries and/or packaging design, understand the complexity of brand portfolios and systems, and are able to navigate large organisations well.
  • You are confident in your professional abilities, curious by nature and enjoy developing both yourself and those around you
  • You are motivated by working in teams where strategy and design are developed side by side – and where consultants and designers work together to define a creative brief that provides a clear framework for the design process.
  • You are a people person who thrives in teams, shares knowledge and contributes to a good professional and social environment.
  • You are a generous and articulate professional who brings ambition and wise perspectives to professional discussions, both internally and externally.
  • Formal education in graphic design/visual communication is an advantage, but solid experience and a strong portfolio carry considerable weight.

How we work

At Grid, we work strategically and insightfully, grounded in up-to-date best practices and documented knowledge of what actually works. We take a structured approach to problem solving, but put together teams based on the task at hand – not on fixed roles. We actively use internal panel assessments and professional discussions to ensure the highest possible quality in our deliveries and continuous development, both strategically and creatively.

At Grid, we expect senior resources to actively contribute to the agency's professional development, project deliveries and the people who work here.

With us, you will get

  • A very central role in one of Norway's leading brand and design environments
  • The opportunity to work with some of the country's best-known and most complex brands
  • Significant professional influence and room for personal and professional development
  • An interdisciplinary environment with a high level of trust, great ambitions and social warmth
  • Offices in new and attractive premises in central Oslo
  • Excellent pension and insurance schemes
  • Flexible working hours with time off in lieu and overtime pay
  • Profit sharing and bonus scheme
  • A social and inclusive culture
  • Good, subsidised lunch

We hope we have sparked your interest and that you will join us.
